Welcome to Alex's Math Lab & Consulting.

My educational philosophy is to be the leader that students need to find their own path. Rather than always showing students the most direct and clear path, I want to develop their ability to think and judge for themselves by sometimes experiencing a roundabout and difficult path.
In this process, students find their own understanding and solutions through various trials and errors. I want to be a guide who provides them with the knowledge and wisdom they need along this path and points them in the right direction when they encounter difficulties.

Furthermore, I want to be more than just a math tutor, I want to be a mentor who has a positive impact on the lives of my students. I think my role is to encourage them not to be afraid of learning from their mistakes, and to wait patiently until they can solve their problems on their own.
This is the essence of education that I pursue, and I hope that parents will also be able to see their children grow further through this educational method.

I am a professional instructor who has taught numerous students in Singapore since 2010 on various programs including IB, IGCSE, AP, American high school curriculum, and Mensa.
With my extensive experience and personalized educational approach, I carefully support each student to receive the best education possible, tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Having received essential training at Columbia University and working as a college admissions interviewer with students from diverse backgrounds, I have been able to assess each student’s individual worth and potential. Based on this experience, I now also provide college counseling to students.
With my professional knowledge and in-depth interviewing experience, I support each and every student to move towards a brighter and more successful future.
